Welcome to WineBottlers's Wiki & Bugtrack
Just to make sure: You are about to use BETA software. BETA software is genreally feature complete, but still has loads of bugs. There is very little documentation at the time, as our main effort is to get it running as good as possible. Once the dust settles, it makes sense to write a good documentation, but not as long as feature might change on a daily basis.
You are most welcome to contribute howtos in the Wiki section or report (or even fix) bugs. Just keep in mind to report Wine bugs to Wine and only WineBottler or WineStatus? related bugs here. Just register to start... ...and make sure you are logged in, else you lack the TICKET_CREATE/WIKI_CREATE privileges.
enjoy Mike
Howto
- Installing predefined prefixes/applications with WineBottler
- Install a program that is not in the predefined prefixes with WineBottler (custom prefixes)
- Removing all the files of Wine and WineBottler
- How to start an exe from the command line?
- There is also a good documentation done by Glen.
More about WineBottler and Wine
Thanks
- winehq, we are standing on the shoulders of a giant!
- glen for providing the first documentation.
- pinchies for filling in loads of wiki pages.
Licenses
- Wine is unaltered and licensed under the LGPL, you always find the current sources here: winehq.org .
- This wine distribution ships with loads of dependencies. This list contains all shipped libs and tools aswell as their license.
- Winebottler is not yet free as in free, but free as in free beer. But my intention is to ship the code once it is mature and we leave beta.
